How to Apply for a New Operator License
In establishments where the sale of alcohol beverages is permitted, the licensee, the agent, or a licensed operator must be present during all hours of sale.
All Operator License expire annually on June 30th unless otherwise noted. License holders are reminded to reapply for the following year's license.
There is a $30.00 Non-Refundable fee for new and renewal licenses. If new applicants require a provisional license (a license to sell for 60 days while waiting for the approval of their Operator's License) the fee is additional $15.00. Provisional license holders must be 18 years of age or olderwho do not have an arrest or conviction record subject to sections 111.321, 111.322 and 111.335 and will be responsible for supervising activities at licensed locations and will not be supervised by the licensee or approved agent. New applicants must successfully complete a beverage server training course prior to issuance of the license.
Only certifications from these Department of Revenue approved courses will be accepted.
Operator License Process:
1. Submit a complete application with a Beverage Training Certificate or copy of a license from another municipality that is witin two years, and $30.00.
2. After the application is submitted, please allow 7-10 business days to process background check by the Edgerton Police Department.
3. If application is denied by the Edgerton Police Department, a letter will be sent to the applicant informing them of the date the application will go in front of the Finance Committee. This committeehas the authority to make the final decision to approve or deny the application. Attendance by applicant is mandatory.
